Critical Analyis Task: Get some practice!
A student sent me these questions a while ago, they are great stimuli for getting one’s critical hat on and determining strengths and weaknesses of other’s and our own arguments.
1. EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SEX AND GENDER. HOW DOES ONE ADOPT ANDROGYNOUS ROLES IN TODAY’S SOCIETY? PROVIDE EXAMPLES FROM DAILY LIFE.
2. WHAT IS COGNITIVE DISSONANCE? HOW DOES IT INFLUENCE GROUPTHINK AND DEINDIVIDUATION?
3. EXPLAIN FREUD’S THEORIES OF THE UNCONSCIOUS AND FREE ASSOCIATION. HOW DID HIS IDEAS EXPLAIN PERSONALITY AND HIS FIVE PSYCHOSEXUAL STAGES?
