Kahlpahlim Rock: Hiking as time out
My walkabout on Sunday was an adventure! The landscapes and skyscapes were so peaceful; oblivious to our strenuous efforts at hiking, climbing and photography.
I spent the entire day away from the keyboard which was almost a new experience again. There was plenty of time for reflection as everybody else spoke Czech (I know enough to order a beer ~:-)
The scrub was alive with sulfur cockatoos, wrens and other grassland birds. Later I will upload other photos and one of a pic of a fruiting Stinging Tree. For now, here is my digital message stick…

Hiking is a great way to take some time out from study and to give the brain a break.
In moderation, procrastination can help you relieve stress and study and more effectively!
…What you need is a study break! There’s a big difference between unhealthy procrastination (wasting time in a random, unplanned fashion) and healthy procrastination (taking scheduled study breaks to relieve your sanity). Healthy procrastination should be a part of your time management strategy. When you schedule your study time, plan to take 10-30 minute study breaks periodically, and do something during these study breaks that rejuvenates you. if possible, work in a short study break every hour. And in between study sessions, block out a couple of hours of time to relax and forget about your workload for awhile.
