Garlic has been found to improve learning in rats by enhancing attention:

I was not able to find any empirical studies of the effects of garlic, chilli or spicy foods on attention, memory and learning in humans. But I am a believer ~:-) And at the very least, the boost to your metabolism and antibiotic effects will aid your health in general.
