Blass Writes on Milgram: Obedience studies and understanding human behaviour
Milgram’s obedience studies remain a classic research topic amongst investigators of human behaviour. A powerful implication of his work has been the acceptance of situational effects as attenuating individual choices of social behaviour.

Social psychology, personal disposition and interactional theory identify the psychological mechanism/s that can “transform” the average person to one who will enact and tolerate cruelty toward others. Overall, Blass notes an over-emphasis on situational variables as stimulus for social behaviour.
