Coding for Themes (Qualitative Analysis) & Ethical Focus
Coding
- Relate the themes to the theory/model that you have chosen.
- If you have done the interviews/focus groups/narrative without using a theory first then the data collected may not provide insights into that theory in answering the question.
- Coded = a practice when analysing data so that the data (e.g., sentences from interviews) can be entered into a spreadsheet that requires numbers.
